The Ceramic core team is excited to meet fellow builders at EthDenver! We’re kicking it off on the 24th of February and invite hackers to build on Ceramic during the #BUIDLathon. We have lots of exciting bounties and even more exciting prizes!
Build Applications Using ComposeDB on Ceramic
The Ceramic core team has been building ComposeDB on Ceramic over the past year. ComposeDB is Web3’s first composable graph database. The theme for EthDenver bounties revolve around creating applications using ComposeDB on Ceramic for specified use-cases that would demonstrate data composability and interoperability.
Ceramic will offer:
- $20k prize pool
- 5 bounties to hack on
- Workshop with the core team on March 1st
- Support from the core team during the hackathon
Bounties and Prizes
During the #BUIDLathon, we want developers to build applications using ComposeDB on Ceramic to demonstrate data composability and interoperability. You can either build your application for one of the use cases listed below or come up with your own idea and apply for the ‘Best Application Built Using ComposeDB on Ceramic’ bounty. It is very important to make sure that you utilize ComposeDB on Ceramic and build at least one new or reuse at least one existing data model.
The judging of the submissions will lean toward completeness of the application and the impact it has on the growth of Ceramic’s developer ecosystem.
$5k ‘Best Application Built Using ComposeDB on Ceramic’ (Two Winners)
Description: We are calling all developers to show us their skills and creativity in building decentralized applications on Ceramic. We want you to use ComposeDB on Ceramic as the data layer for your application and demonstrate the value of data composability and interoperability. You are required to build new data models or reuse existing data models that have been shared with you in the model catalog. This bounty is open for all use cases, including the ones listed below. We want to see your innovative projects and ideas when utilizing ComposeDB and building truly decentralized applications!
$2k ‘Best Web3 Social Application Built Using ComposeDB’ (Two Winners)
Description: Do you have an idea for a better, decentralized version of Twitter or Facebook? Or maybe you have been dreaming about a completely new approach to how people connect on the web. Use ComposeDB on Ceramic to build an application that would utilize a social graph and provide a new way for people to connect and share information.
$2k ‘Best DAO / Community Tools Built Using ComposeDB’ (Two Winners)
Description: Do you have ideas for applications that would improve DAO or community management and collaboration? A better way to track member contributions? A better way for tracking and managing proposals and updates? Use Ceramic’s ComposeDB to build applications that would make it easier to build and manage DAOs and developers communities and become eligible for this bounty!
$2k ‘Best Identity or Reputation Applications Built Using CompsoseDB’ (Two Winners)
Description: Do you have ideas for new identity management tools, such as event ticketing systems or an application that will include a user’s reputation? Use ComposeDB on Ceramic to build identity or reputation applications.
$2k ‘Best Knowledge Management Applications Built Using ComposeDB’ (Two Winners)
Do you have an idea for a decentralized blog platform, news portal, educational hub, journaling or note-taking application? Or maybe you are building a knowledge base for recording scientific data? Use ComposeDB to build an application that utilizes an information graph!

Throughout the entire EthDenver event you will be able to find the Ceramic core team ready to help you with your projects. We will also be hosting a workshop on March 1st where you will learn the fundamentals of using ComposeDB for your applications and have a chance to get answers to your questions.
